First solo show in New York! 🧞‍♀️

Umaña's inspiration for the show comes from the moments we share around a table or a drink, the conversations and ideas that come and go, and the traces that are left behind. "We often focus on the new, the perfect presentation, the good shot," she says. "But what about the moments we enjoyed and celebrated for that minute? The lipstick on the napkin, the brilliant idea, the good conversation. These are the ephemeral fossils that I wanted to capture and celebrate through my art." Umaña's work explores the concept that artifacts have energy and that they carry the memories of the moments that they witnessed. Through her art, she creates a space where we can admire and appreciate the part of our soul that we tend to overlook.
